Privacy policy
Easy Before After Slider for Shopify, by bPlugins. Effective September 21, 2026.
Easy Before After Slider ("the app") is a Shopify app that lets merchants design sliders in the Shopify admin and show them on their online store. This policy explains what the app stores, why, for how long, and how to have it removed. It applies to merchants who install the app and to visitors of stores that display a slider.
What we store about your store
When you install the app we store only what is needed to run it:

Images and videos you pick from your store's Files stay in your Shopify Files library. Files you upload through the app are uploaded straight to Shopify Files; the app stores only their URLs.
The app writes two things into your store: a product metafield holding a slider ID, and app-owned metafields holding published slider content. Shopify removes app-owned metafields when the app is uninstalled.
What we do not collect
- No customer or shopper data. The app requests access only to products, theme templates (read-only) and files. It never reads orders, customers or checkout data.
- Nothing about visitors to your storefront. The slider block sets no cookies and uses no tracking pixels. When a shopper first drags a slider or plays its videos on a page, the block sends the app the slider's id and the event name so you can see how often sliders are used; no visitor identity is sent or stored. When a page loads a slider from our server, the request appears in ordinary server logs (IP address, browser type, time) which are kept briefly for security and then discarded.
- No analytics on your storefront. We do not currently run usage analytics in the app. If we add them, they will cover only the app's admin pages, never your storefront, and this policy will be updated first.
Videos you compare are files in your store's Files library, served from Shopify's CDN. If you compare YouTube or Vimeo videos instead, they load from the provider (YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode, Vimeo with do-not-track) when the shopper plays them, and the provider's own privacy policy applies to that playback.
Support requests
When you contact us through the Support button in the app, the name, email address and message you enter are sent to bPlugins' support ticket system so we can reply. We use them only to handle your request.
How we use and share data
We use the data above solely to provide, bill for, support and secure the app. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the service providers needed to run the app:
- Shopify, which hosts your store, delivers the theme block and processes all billing.
- The hosting provider of the server the app runs on.
- bPlugins' support ticket system, for messages you send us.
We may disclose data if required by law. Data is transmitted over TLS and access to our servers is limited to authorized bPlugins staff.
How long we keep it
- While the app is installed, for as long as you use it.
- When you uninstall, the store's access tokens are deleted immediately. Your sliders and settings are kept for 48 hours so that reinstalling restores them, and are then erased permanently when Shopify sends its shop data-erasure request.
- Support messages are kept as long as needed to resolve the request and for our records.
Shopify's privacy webhooks
The app implements Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks. Because it stores no customer data, customer data requests and customer erasure requests have nothing to return or delete, and we record that we received them. Shop erasure requests delete everything we hold about the store, as described above.
Your rights
You can see and edit everything the app stores about your sliders inside the app itself. To request a copy of your data, correct it, or have it deleted before the 48-hour window, contact us and we will act within 30 days. If you are in the EU, UK, or a jurisdiction with similar laws, these rights apply to you under those laws and you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will update the effective date above and note the change in the app.
